Pub closes after 'drunken young fools' threaten staff and ignore social distancing

A fuming landlord has blasted "drunken young fools" for threatening his staff and forcing the early closure of his pub. The long-time owner of the Ship Inn in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, blamed yobs with carry-out drinks for causing chaos after the disgraceful scenes on Friday afternoon.

Louts frightened employees and also completely ignored social distancing requirements, reports the Daily Record. In a statement posted on the pub's page on Saturday, Simon Cruickshank - who has run the popular bar and hotel for 16 years -  confirmed he was reporting the culprits to police.
