Probe at Perth care home after a number of people die following COVID outbreak

Perth care home has led to deaths after close to 30 residents and staff tested positive. The incident at the 40-bed Strathtay House Care Home in Harley Place, in the North Muirton area of Perth, has triggered an investigation.

A total of 18 residents and 13 staff have contracted coronavirus, although only six residents are still considered to be positive. Perth DJs to go old-school for mental health charity fundraiser Bosses from the company running the home, HC One, confirmed there had been a number of COVID-related deaths, although they did not say how many.The PA understands there were fewer than five.

The HC One website for Strathtay House makes no mention of the recent outbreak, but said it had “temporarily paused” new resident.
