Prince Philip will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 17, following his death last Friday, aged 99. Buckingham Palace announced on April 9 that it is "with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband." The statement added the Duke passed away "peacefully" at Windsor Castle.

Unlike other royal funerals, Prince Philip's send off will be scaled back due to the coronavirus pandemic. It falls within the late Duke's wished to have no fuss.
