lockdown from midnight after a rise in coronavirus cases.Residents in the Lancashire city will have to abide by stricter restrictions, which include banning separate households from meeting each other at home.The city will be brought in line with restrictions already in place in East Lancashire, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.
It comes after Preston Council previously begged residents to take extra precautions as Covid-19 cases shot up. Residents have been told to stop mixing to protect the city from a spike in the killer virus.
As of midnight tonight Preston residents will no longer be allowed to have other households into their homes or gardens.And households will not be permitted to mix with others in indoor venues.
