Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Presidential Debate Viewership Falls From 2016 To 73.1 Million; Fox News Tops Ratings

Ted Johnson UPDATE: An estimated 73.1 million people watched the first presidential debate, a huge audience but still short of the blockbuster audience for the initial matchup four years ago.The numbers are from Nielsen and include 16 networks.In 2016, the first debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton drew 84 million.The total viewers for the debate may not have matched the last cycle, but they were still impressive.

Only two other debates in the past 45 years have drawn more viewers: In 2016, and in 1980, when Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter met for their only matchup.

That debate drew 80.6 million viewers. PREVIOUSLY: An estimated 67.4 million TV viewers watched the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
