A 71-year-old granny who is a powerlifting champion says she has no plans to quit and laughs at people who tell her she's too old.
Mary Duffy began powerlifting when she was 59 in a bid to lose weight. She lost four stone within a year and now boasts 30 state and world records to her name and spends around 20 hours a week lifting weights and training.
Mary, who has one grandchild, says she looks and feels better than she did 30 years ago and her daily six-hour gym sessions have made her fitter than she's ever been.
As well as lifting weights, Mary also has two personal training sessions and takes part in three fitness boot camps a week. The super-fit gran says the more she had a "lightbulb moment" when she piled on the pounds after her mum
