Two officers were struck by a car at a George Floyd demonstration near a police station in New York. Erie county's chief executive Mark Poloncarz said the driver and passengers of the vehicle were believed to be in custody after the incident on an intersection in east Buffalo on Monday night.
Footage shows protesters clashing with law enforcement officers, including National Guard, some lashing out with batons before a black SUV strikes.
Both were taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries but are in a stable condition, Mr Poloncarz added. Those injured were a New York State police officer and a Buffalo police officer, according to reports.
