Stockport. Cops were called to reports of a breach of coronavirus restrictions at a house on Gloucester Avenue, Marple, at around 1.30am on Friday.An officer was assaulted.She was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw, but her injuries were not as serious as initially thought, a GMP spokesman said.A 49-year-old woman was has now been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.She remains in custody for questioning.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 1.30am on Friday 21 August 2020, police were called to reports of a breach of Covid-19 restrictions at a residential property on Gloucester Avenue, Stockport. "Officers attended and, upon arrival, an officer was assaulted.
