Kilmarnock's busiest road has been locked down by police this evening amid reports of a serious incident.Police have cordoned off John Finnie Street at Langlands Street and West George Street with other emergency services also scrambled to the scene.Traffic has ground to a halt on the town's one-way system.One bus, a private coach, appears to be within the restricted area being marshalled by officers.Several police vans and a Scottish Fire and Rescue crew are among those at the scene in front of Kilmarnock Train Station.Police Scotland said: "John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock is closed following a crash that happened around 5.05pm on Saturday, February 1."Emergency services are in attendance and road users are advised to avoid the area."
