Police are treating an overnight blaze at a high school in Aberdeen as wilful. Emergency crews, including 60 firefighters, were called to Dyce Academy just before midnight on Tuesday.

It is understood a fire had broken out on the first floor of the school and six appliances and one height vehicle tackled the blaze, which was later extinguished.

Luckily, no one was injured. However, investigators have now said that the fire is being as wilful as enquiries continue. Police Scotland are asking for anyone with information to come forward.Detective Constable Alex Currie said: “Enquiries are ongoing and the fire is being treated as wilful.
