Armed police at Edinburgh flats in major ongoing incident

Armed police have descended onto a street in Edinburgh amid an ongoing incident. Police have swarmed Peffermill Road in the capital's Craigmillar area this afternoon.Multiple police vehicles and several ambulances are currently in attendance.Images show armed cops standing outside a block of flats on the street.Officers in white suits have also been spotted at the scene.The nature of the incident, or if there are any injuries, is currently unknown.An eyewitness told the Record: "There's at least ten vans and CID here."The Record has approached Police Scotland for comment.
