Police dog attacked multiple times by 'machete-wielding teen' after reports of break-in

dog has allegedly been attacked multiple times with a machete while responding to reports of a break-in.The pooch, called Police Dog (PD) Stark, works for West Midlands Police and was responding to reports of a break-in at allotments in Larch Avenue in Handsworth, Birmingham, at 4am on Saturday, November 14.West Midlands Police say PD stark was struck on the head with the machete, but still managed to detain a 16-year-old teenager by biting him on the leg.The boy was taken to hospital so his injuries could be checked over and will be taken into police custody later.

PD stark is also thankfully going to be okay.Two other people are believed to have fled the scene and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact.
