manchestereveningnews.co.ukdirect to your inboxPolice have launched an investigation after a person was attacked by a dog in Trafford.The victim, whose age and gender have not been confirmed, had been walking in the area of Hartford Gardens in Timperley on Wednesday 9 December at around 10am.They had approached the corner of Dee Avenue when police said they were attacked by a dog, described as a chocolate brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier or Pit Bull.The victim of the attack was said to have sustained significant injuries to their forearm, and fled to nearby neighbours to seek help.Paramedics from the North West Ambulance service were called and the patient was treated for their injuries at the scene.Police are now appealing for witnesses of the attack, or anyone with.
