Homeless charity Embassy plans to create 40 modular homes to form a new village on a derelict city centre site. The innovative scheme will help homeless and vulnerable men get back on their feet by giving them a safe place to stay and support with life-skills.

The scheme aims to help residents find full-time work and eventually move on to privately rented accommodation. The plans are backed by developers Peel L&P, which owns the site, and CAPITAL&CENTRIC, and have now been submitted to the council following a public consultation.
