Personal Independence Payment (PIP may be something you have heard of, but do not know much about, or perhaps thought it was a benefit you would not be eligible to claim.
There are currently 2.6 million people across the UK claiming support through PIP and accessing a whole range of additional assistance including Council Tax Reductions, benefit top-ups and free or discounted public transport.
Of that total figure, 279,067 Scots are receiving financial support between £23.60 and £151.40 every week, however, PIP is paid every four weeks, so that amounts to between £94.40 and £605.60 each month.
PIP is a benefit currently delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) that is designed to help people with the extra costs of daily.
