Derek Draper, who is married to Good Morning Britain presenter Ms Garraway, was taken to hospital with Covid-19 at the end of March Garraway's fellow presenter Morgan told TalkRadio presenter Kevin O'Sullivan on Sunday that Mr Draper was still in intensive care.
He said: "I've had Kate Garraway, who's the Good Morning Britain co-presenter of mine, her husband Derek Draper is fighting for his life as we speak and has been for many weeks in an ICU unit." Morgan added that a cousin's father had died with coronavirus, while the mother of a friend also died after catching the disease.
