However, on Wednesday the pair enjoyed a stroll in the sunshine together from two metres apart, as Piers took to social media to share a photo of their reunion.
The host is seen giving a thumbs up with his son seen in the distance doing the same. "Nice to see you again son, albeit from 2 metres.
