That allowed them to keep possession in the second half and see out the victory, despite Callum Hudson-Odoi's stoppage-time consolation.
Foden, who assisted the first goal and scored the second, says the City dressing room after the game was full of confidence as they kept in touch with the Premier League leaders Liverpool and Manchester United.
