Perthshire school has successfully booked itself on its second trip to Mars. There was global excitement when NASA’s latest Mars rover Perseverance touched down on the Red Planet on Saturday.But staff and pupils at Bertha Park High School were particularly pleased because the school’s name is forever etched in history - on the Mars rover.Principal teacher of science Stuart Smith was delighted when his application to have the school’s name on the vehicle was accepted last year.The Perth school’s name was carved onto a fingernail-sized silicon chip.
