Disclosure have finally released their viral energetic single ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’.The British electronic duo – comprised of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence – first performed the song last October at a pop-up show in Los Angeles. They then went on to premiere the track on BBC Radio 1, which caused it to go viral.‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ features a pulsing, bright beat with the lyrics: “In time, she’ll find / This was so kind / So long, dance on / She’s gone, dance on,” which were pulled and sampled from the late legendary Italian composer Ennio Morricone’s 1978 track ‘Dance On’ from the film Così Come Se.The duo had previously distributed ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ to their DJ colleagues with the likes of Todd Edwards, Joy Anonymous, salute, DJ Seinfeld, Peggy Gou, and Sammy Virji playing the track during their sets.Most notably, Dom Dolla played it during his Coachella set last month, with clips of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dancing to it circling social media.‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ comes ahead of the duo’s set at Primavera Sound in Barcelona tomorrow (May 31) as well as Parklife Festival and Glastonbury next month, HARD in LA and Portola in San Francisco.Disclosure’s last album release was 2023’s ‘Alchemy’.

Glastonbury Festival has announced the 2024 line-up for The Park, including two brand-new venues. Daft Punk‘s collaborator Todd Edwards has shared that he believed the duo “weren’t on the same page anymore.”As the latest guest on Memory Tapes, the official Daft Punk mini-documentary, created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, ‘Random Access Memories’, Edwards said: “When they broke up, they were already going in different directions, musically.”He continued: “Guy-Man[uel de Homem-Christo] seems to be drawn more to the hip-hop realm and Thomas [Bangalter] was also a director. It kind of felt like they weren’t on the same page anymore, anyway, so I wasn’t shocked.”Edwards first worked with Daft Punk back in 2001 on their track ‘Face to Face’ from the duo’s second LP ‘Discovery’ in which he provided vocals and co-production.

Daft Punk have released a new video series titled ‘Memory Tapes’ that reflects on the creation of their final LP ‘Random Access Memories’.The series is made up of eight episodes that offer an inside look at the creation of the album as well as highlights from the various collaborators who were featured on the LP. The collaborators share their favourite memories and the impact both Daft Punk and the album have had on their music and careers.The first two episodes of Memory Tapes feature The Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas who collaborated with the French duo on ‘Instant Crush’ and pianist Chilly Gonzales who played on ‘Within’ and ‘Give Life Back To Music’.Upcoming episodes will include contributions from Pharrell Williams, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Nile Rodgers and others.The interviews were conducted at Henson Studios in Los Angeles and Gang Studios in Paris which are two of the five spaces in which ‘Random Access Memories’ was recorded.

Thomas Bangalter has spoken publicly for the first on the break-up of his iconic electronic duo Daft Punk during an interview with the BBC. Formed in 1993 with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the group released four studio albums to vast acclaim before dissolving in 2021.

Daft Punk have released the first track, ‘The Writing Of Fragments Of Time’ from the upcoming expanded version of their last album ‘Random Access Memories’, which is being reissued for its 10th anniversary.‘The Writing Of Fragments Of Time’ captures “intimate moments of creation” at the time that Daft Punk were composing the eleventh track from ‘Random Access Memories’, ‘Fragments Of Time’, with longtime friend and collaborator Todd Edwards.The story goes, per a press release: “At the legendary Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles on February 29, 2012 a tape ran for the full session, capturing the entire creative journey behind the making of the track and we hear some of these intimate moments of creation between Thomas Bangalter and Todd Edwards in The Writing of Fragments of Time.“The lyrics written that day were from the perspective of the collaborators’ future selves speculating how they would feel in the future as if remembering this specific creative moment thereby creating a narrative of future nostalgia. Jem Aswad Senior Music Editor No, Daft Punk are not reuniting — but the duo are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their epochal Grammy-winning final album, “Random Access Memories,” with an expanded edition that features 35 minutes of previously unreleased music across nine songs. Today, the duo dropped “The Writing of Fragments of Time,” the first track from the album (which comes out May 12). According to the announcement, the track is a “documentary track” that nods back to the album song “Giorgio by Moroder,” in which the iconic Giorgio Moroder discusses his own creative process and come up. “This newest behind the scenes track glimpses the actual humans at work with all their doubts, excitement and first draft imperfections.”

Avalon Emerson has announced the release of her debut album for her new musical project, as well as sharing new single ‘Hot Evening’.The self-titled record ‘Avalon Emerson & The Charm’ will be released on April 28 via her Another Dove label. Upon announcement, the US producer and songwriter has also shared the latest single, the shimmering ‘Hot Evening’.“The sonic inspiration comes from somewhere between Todd Edwards, the Magnetic Fields, and the Chordettes,” she said of the track.
