Top Scots Butcher Simon Howie sends first ever haggis into space ahead of Burns Night
Burns Night, a top Scottish butcher company has gone one step further by sending theirs into space ahead of the big day.Simon Howie marked the special occasion by having their best-selling haggis reach the edge of space, soaring over 20 miles (107,293 feet) above the Earth.Special footage showed the firm's haggis reaching nearly four times the height of Everest, 3.5 times higher than a jumbo jet flies, before returning safely to Scotland. The team say the Original Simon Howie 454g Haggis took off from their HQ in Dunning before travelling over Stirling, Falkirk, Edinburgh, and the Pentland Hills before its safe landing in Lauder.They added that the visibility on the day was so good that at altitude, you can see at least as far as 250
