court heard.Meat millionaire Simon Howie had been acting as a moneylender to cover up debts racked up by his financial director, David Cowper.But Cowper hadn’t told his now ex-wife Helen he was in serious debt and she had no idea he was secretly selling their home.It was only when she made plans to draw up her will that she discovered her husband’s plot with Howie.Cowper, 73, who has no previous convictions, has been warned he faces a prison term for forging his wife’s signature to settle a £193,338 debt to Howie.Marie Irvine, prosecuting, told Dundee Sheriff Court that Cowper and his wife had lived at a home in the city’s Blackness Avenue for 20 years.
