Junny has unveiled his new single ‘Not About You’, the title track off his newly released album ‘blanc’.On August 12 at 6pm KST, the Korean-Canadian musician dropped the full-length record alongside an accompanying music video for ‘Not About You’, which features Junny and a love interest going through the highs and lows of a romantic relationship.“I ain’t talking about you / Are you still wishing that I’ll be / Writing about all of our memories? / This is the one and only time / I’ll be talking about you,” he croons in the chorus.Consisting of nine brand-new songs, Junny wrote and composed the ‘blanc’ album himself, while the songs ‘Not About You’, ‘Obvious’, ‘Mugshot’, ‘boyhood’ and ‘OH!!.’ credit him on arrangements. minGtion, a frequent Junny collaborator and a producer for NCT, Taeyeon and Red Velvet, also worked on a number of tracks on the record.‘blanc’ marks Junny’s first-ever full-length album since he debuted as a singer in 2017; prior to this, he had only ever released singles and mini-albums, with the most recent record being the two-part ‘Vivid’ series of mini-albums in 2019.The new record was also preceded by two pre-release singles: ‘Get Ya!’ and ‘Color Me’.

Red Velvet‘s Joy and actor Choo Young-woo have been cast as the leads for an upcoming romance K-drama, Accidental Country Diary (literal translation).Joy and Choo’s casting in the new series, based on a web novel of the same name by Park Ha-min, was confirmed in May. According to Soompi, Accidental Country Diary depicts a romance between a man from Seoul and a policewoman from the countryside.

Chung Ha will reportedly be making her long-awaited comeback with new music next month.Yesterday (June 9), South Korean news outlet The Korea Heraldreported on that the K-pop idol is currently gearing up to return with her second full-length album in July. Chosun Biz added in a separate report that the singer is also “in the final stages” of preparations of her album.Neither Chung Ha nor her representatives have yet to respond to the reports as of writing.

Red Velvet member Seulgi has been diagnosed with COVID-19.SM Entertainment shared in an announcement to TenAsia earlier today (March 30) that the K-pop idol has been diagnosed with the coronavirus, but noted that the singer is showing no symptoms. EXO member Kai has been diagnosed with COVID-19.On March 15, SM Entertainment released a statement sharing that the idol had contracted the coronavirus. According to the agency, Kai had previously received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.“He has currently halted all activities and is undergoing home treatment in accordance with the guidelines of the disease control authorities,” wrote the agency, per Soompi.

Red Velvet members Irene, Joy and Yeri have been diagnosed with COVID-19.On March 14, SM Entertainment released an official statement announcing that the three Red Velvet members had tested positive for the coronavirus over the weekend.According to the agency, Irene, Joy and Yeri had tested positive after pre-emptively using self-test kits, and their diagnoses were later confirmed by PCR tests. GOT7 singer BamBam has opened up about his newfound friendship with Red Velvet member Seulgi.Last December, the Thai-born K-pop idol teamed up with the Red Velvet vocalist for his single ‘Who Are You’, which appeared on his latest mini-album, ‘B’.
