SISTAR19 have made their long-awaited return with a music video for ‘No More (Ma Boy)’.‘No More (Ma Boy)’ comes 11 years after SISTAR19’s last project, their 2013 mini-album ‘Gone Not Around Any Longer’. The new release features two songs, title track ‘No More (Ma Boy)’ and B-side ‘Saucy’, both co-written by Hyolyn.“With this new album, we wanted to show how much we have changed,” Hyolyn told The Korea Herald.

Hyolyn has come under fire for saying the N-Word while singing along to Doja Cat‘s ‘Say So’ during an Instagram Story.The SISTAR member recently posted a number of Instagram Stories of herself on a trip with stylist GANi. One video in particular, which was uploaded yesterday (February 15), featured her dancing to the hit Doja Cat track ‘Say So’.In particular, Hyolyn filmed herself singing along to a verse that contained the N-word.

K-pop singer Hyolyn has opened up about the difficulties behind running her own label.In a recent YouTube talk show episode hosted by entertainer Tak Jae-hoon, Hyolyn and her former SISTAR bandmate Bora appeared as guests. During the episode, Hyolyn shared that starting her own label, bridʒ, after leaving longtime agency Starship Entertainment has been challenging.As the only artist under her label, the singer shared that it is run by herself and her CEO, who she says helps her manage the company “because it’s impossible to do everything by myself”.

SISTAR’s Hyolyn and Bora will be making a comeback as the duo SISTAR19 in January 2024.On November 17, XSportsNews reported that the duo officially confirmed their upcoming return in January.While currently signed to different agencies, the pair will be releasing the project through Klap Entertainment, which has also confirmed that SISTAR’s former agency Starship Entertainment has given its full support to the release.“The two members – Hyolyn and Bora – are working hard on their vocals and choreography to upgrade the unit’s identity,” Klap Entertainment said, per Korea JoongAng Daily.Further details on the project’s title, format and release date will be announced at a later time.This SISTAR19 project will mark their first comeback in 11 years, following the release of their single ‘Gone Not Around Any Longer’ in 2013. The pair first debuted as a subunit in 2011 with their smash hit ‘Ma Boy’.The upcoming project will also be Hyolyn’s first music since she dropped her single ‘This Love’ with Korean-Canadian singer Paul Blanco earlier this year.

SISTAR member Soyou has opened up about the possibility of the girl group having a reunion in the future.Yesterday (July 26), Soyou released her second mini-album ‘Summer Vibe’, the follow-up to her April 2022 release ‘Day & Night’. The project is notably led by the single ‘Aloha’, which featured fellow ex-SISTAR member Bora.At a showcase for the mini-album’s release, held at the Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul, Soyou revealed that the four former members of SISTAR – completed by Bora, Hyolyn and Dasom – often “always talk about performing as a group again” whenever they meet up with one another.“We all miss SISTAR,” Soyou said, per South Korean news outlet SBS Star.

VIVIZ and former SISTAR member Soyou recently shared the stage as part of the girl group’s set at the BNF Festival.During their appearance at the festival, which took place at Olympic Park’s 88 Lake Waterside Stage in Seoul, the two Big Planet Made acts teamed up for a cover of SISTAR’s 2015 hit ‘Shake It’.VIVIZ and Soyou largely stayed true to the original song, with the girl group’s Eunha and Soyou handling most of the verses and chorus. Meanwhile, VIVIZ members SinB and Umji tackled the rap portion together.“Make it louder / More, make it louder / Keep shaking me / Amazingly shake me (Shake it, oh, shake it / All night, with me, shake it baby,” the four K-pop idols sang on the chorus.VIVIZ – comprised of former GFRIEND members SinB, Eunha and Umji – recently competed on the Mnet reality TV series Queendom 2.

SISTAR member Soyou has unveiled a teaser for ‘Business’, the lead single off her upcoming mini-album ‘Day & Night’.Yesterday (April 24), the singer shared a new teaser the music video of her upcoming song, ‘Business’. The track, which features South Korean rapper and BPM Entertainment labelmate BE’O, will be the lead single off her third mini-album ‘Day & Night’, which arrives on April 27 at 6pm KST.In the clip, Soyou sits by the window in a high-rise apartment, appearing deep in thought as she gazes at the night time city lights outside while a snippet of the song’s acoustic guitar instrumental plays.The upcoming six-track record also includes features by South Korean singers Jukjae and DAVII on the songs ‘마음’ (translates to ‘heart’) and ‘나무’ (meaning ‘tree’) respectively.
