Netflix’s most popular shows in 2023, The Night Agent is back with another stack of episodes.Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, the action thriller series follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) who is thrown into a vast conspiracy about a mole at the highest levels of the US government.Other cast members in the series include Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano and Hong Chau.The show’s first season reached the number one spot on Netflix’s Top 10 in 87 countries, and is the seventh most popular English show of all time on the platform.

BreAnna Bell Brittany Snow, Berto Colon, Louis Herthum, Arienne Mandi, and Teddy Sears have signed on to join the Season 2 cast of Netflix‘s “The Night Agent,” the streamer announced on Thursday. Season 2 begins filming in 2024. They join returning cast Gabriel Basso (Peter), who leads the series, and Luciane Buchanan (Rose), as well as previously announced Amanda Warren (Catherine).

The action thriller series debuted on the streaming service less than a week ago, on March 23. It proved to be popular immediately, rocketing up to the top of Netflix’s weekly Top 10 chart with 168.71 million hours viewed. The second season will consist of 10 episodes. “The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share ‘The Night Agent’ with the world,” said series creator Shawn Ryan. “To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans.”
