Is ‘The Night Agent’ season three coming out soon?
nme.comNetflix’s most popular shows in 2023, The Night Agent is back with another stack of episodes.Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, the action thriller series follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) who is thrown into a vast conspiracy about a mole at the highest levels of the US government.Other cast members in the series include Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Phoenix Raei, Enrique Murciano and Hong Chau.The show’s first season reached the number one spot on Netflix’s Top 10 in 87 countries, and is the seventh most popular English show of all time on the platform.
A second season was released on January 23, 2025.Netflix renewed the show for a third season a month before season two’s debut.Showrunner Shawn Ryan said: “We’re so excited that our fans will get to watch season two of The Night Agent in early 2025, and we’ve been hard at work writing season three to deliver more breathless Peter Sutherland Night Action adventures to our rabid audience.”Netflix has yet to confirm a release date, although judging by the two-year gap between the first two seasons, season three could be released in early 2027.As filming is already underway however, it’s possible The Night Agent’s next season could be released at an earlier date.Production on the third season began in December 2024 in Istanbul, with filming set to continue in New York in 2025.Netflix has also announced a number of new cast members for the third season, including David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Genesis Rodriguez, Callum Vinson and Suraj Sharma..
