Mo Gilligan apologised to Brit Awards 2022 viewers on Tuesday night after he accidentally swore live on-air during the annual ceremony. The host, 33, admitted that he got "carried away" on stage earlier in the show as he sat with co-presenter Maya Jama and singer Olivia Rodrigo in the audience.The Masked Singer UK judge Mo admitted: "So guys, earlier in the show, I got a little bit carried away and I swore. Apologies for any offence caused.

Mo Gilligan left fans in stitches as he impersonated Liam Gallagher at the BRIT Awards 2022 while introducing the singer-songwriter.The 33 year old comedian introduced former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher to the stage by putting on a Mancunian accent and donning round glasses, a bucket hat and parka coat. Mo stood in front of a microphone among the crowds and broke into the 1995 Oasis hit Wonderwall as he said: "Nice to be here you know what I mean I said maybe...." Liam, 49, whose children Lennon, 22, and Molly, 23, posed on the red carpet ahead of supporting their dad, performed Everything's Electric at the star-studded ceremony.

BRIT Awards 2022 is underway at London’s The O2, where the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz and more are all in the running for awards.Tonight’s (February 8) event will be hosted by Mo Gilligan for the first time, while the show will also not hand out trophies in gendered categories. Instead, they will be replaced by Artist Of The Year and International Artist Of The Year fields.Four new genre categories have also been added – Alternative/Rock Act, Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Dance Act and Pop/R’N’B Act – which fans were able to vote for via TikTok.Adele, Sheeran, Little Simz and Dave led the nominations going into the night with four nods each.

Mo Gilligan has became a staple to our screens over the last few years, from starring on his own Channel 4 show, The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, to becoming one of the judges on hit show The Masked Singer. The 33 year old comedian is now set to host The BRIT Awards on Tuesday 8 February, marking one of his biggest presenting gigs to date. Speaking about the incredible opportunity, he recently told The Big Issue: "It’s an amazing opportunity.The fact that I get to host it still hasn’t sunk in yet.” While we've gotten to know Mo well over recent years, his long-term girlfriend is also a famous face.

Brit Awards ceremony is taking place on Tuesday 8 February, at its usual spot at the O2 Arena in London. Some of the biggest names in music will be in attendance, including Ed Sheeran and Adele, as prizes are handed out and some of the nominees perform their songs live. Fans who aren’t able to watch the event from the O2 Arena itself – including international viewers – will be able to tune in via a number of different platforms, including ITV, YouTube and social media.

Rita Ora divulged that she once labelled Jaime as a 'firecracker' - and was left dumbfounded that she didn't guess it was her behind the mask.   The ITV singing competition is back for a third series with Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross returning to the judging chairs while Joel Dommett is back as host.  Saturday night's show saw Dame Joan Collins join the judging panel as a special guest judge.

The reality TV series returned to our screens on New Year’s Day, with a new group of celebrities performing from inside bizarre giant costumes in a bid to outwit judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan. Rockhopper is among the contestants to compete on the 2022 series, alongside Mushroom, Bagpipes, Lionfish, Doughnuts, Traffic Cone, Panda, Firework, Poodle, and Robobunny.

Mark Sutherland The Grammys may have been postponed until April, but the U.K. equivalent – the BRIT Awards – will take place next week as planned at the O2 Arena in London.However, the event will not quite be fully restored to its traditional set-up, with no industry tables on the arena floor (execs will instead be in hospitality boxes, like last year’s COVID-restricted event, while fans and artists will be seated on the floor) and no aftershow party.The event also has a new look, with a fresh host (comedian Mo Gilligan), set designer (Glastonbury favorites Block9), and several new categories (including the Artist of the Year gong, four new genre awards and the inaugural Songwriter of the Year prize), all brought in by the BRITs committee’s new chair, Polydor Records co-president Tom March.
