NEON is releasing Jake Johnson‘s feature directorial debut Self Reliancein theaters for one night only on Jan. 3, 2024 before the pic’s Jan. 12 streaming date on Hulu.

Self Reliance. The film will land on the streamer soon with Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Morales, Andy Samberg, GaTa, Emily Hampshire, Mary Holland, Boban Marjanovi?, Christopher Lloyd, and Wayne Brady among the main cast.This one premiered at SXSW earlier in the year and will land on Hulu stateside on 12th January.

Hulu has acquired the U.S. rights to Jake Johnson’s feature directorial debut Self Reliance, in a competitive deal with MRC and Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Rebel Wilson is going back to school! In the official trailer for, the actress plays a popular high school senior who had it all — the perfect boyfriend, the perfect friend group and life. But before she could top it all off by claiming the throne as prom queen, she fell off the top of the human pyramid of cheerleaders and landed in a coma. Flash forward 20 years, where she wakes up and the year is 2022.

“Senior Year.”Full of 2000s nostalgia, the film stars 41-year-old Wilson as a high school cheerleader named Stephanie Conway who falls off a pyramid and into a 20-year-coma. She then wakes up as a 37-year-old woman, ready to return to high school, regain her status and claim the prom queen crown that eluded her.The Aussie actress said in a statement, “‘Senior Year’ is like the wildly funny love child of ‘Bring It On’ and ‘Never Been Kissed.’ It will literally bring ‘cheer’ into your homes! I can’t wait for everyone to see ‘Senior Year’ on Netflix this May 13.”Wilson shared the first-look image on her Instagram, writing in the caption, “Got my butterfly clips and glitter, and I’m ready to head back to 2002!” She’s also a producer on the project.In her post, she also shared a quick snippet of herself rocking a green and yellow cheerleading uniform.Alex Hardcastle is directing the feature, which also stars Alicia Silverstone, Justin Hartley, Angourie Rice, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland and Chris Parnell.Last August, the “Bridesmaids” star channeled Britney Spears when she rocked the pop star’s iconic look from her “(You Drive Me) Crazy” music video.

Alicia Silverstone is looking to go back to school, boarding the new comedy project Senior Year for Paramount Players.The 44-year-old actress has joined the growing cast alongside Rebel Wilson, Justin Hartley, Angourie Rice, Sam Richardson, Zoe Chao, Mary Holland and Chris Parnell, according to Deadline.The project comes just over 25 years after Silverstone's breakthrough role as the privileged Cher in the 1995 comedy classic Clueless.Paramount Players is a division of Paramount Pictures which focuses on 'contemporary properties' that are sometimes based on properties owned by Paramount's parent company Viacom, such as Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
