Vicky McClure relied on unique hobby to process 'dark' Paramount+ role

Vicky McClure has opened up about tackling some intense scenes in new psychological thriller Insomnia, with the Line Of Duty star taking up an interesting hobby to keep the blues at bay. In the new Paramount+ series, Vicky plays Emma, a high-flying lawyer with a stay-at-home husband and two children who is tormented by sleep deprivation as her 40th birthday nears. With Emma displaying worrying and sometimes dangerous behaviour in the show, Vicky admitted that some of her scenes in the show were "really dark".
