Without Music Venue Properties stepping in to purchase the venue, the most likely outcome would have been a property developer turning the building into flats/offices.”He continued: “To know that the venue is secure for many generations to come is a great relief and definitely something to celebrate.

Don Broco have announced a UK tour titled ‘The Birthday Party’ set to kick off later this year.The tour is set to start on November 29 in Reading. From there, the band – consisting of frontman Rob Damiani, guitarist Simon Delaney, bassist Tom Doyle and drummer Matt Donnelly – will make stops in Margate, Bristol, Sheffield, Cambridge, York, Manchester, and Wolverhampton before wrapping up in London.‘The Birthday Party’ tour announcement comes hot off the heels of Don Broco’s appearance at this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals.

Mad Cool festival have unveiled the final line-up for this year’s iteration, spearheaded by the addition of new headliner Incubus.The ‘Drive’ rockers join as one of three acts set to close out the third day of the five-day festival (Friday July 8), headlining alongside Muse and Alt-J. They replace Queens Of The Stone Age, who according to a post on social media, have pulled out “for reasons beyond the control of the festival organisation”.A total of 19 acts were added to the line-up, including the likes of Don Broco, CL and NOISY.

Muse have recruited British songwriter and Bring Me The Horizon collaborator Dan Lancaster to be part of their live band.Performing their first major shows of 2022 with two special charity gigs at London’s Eventim Apollo Hammersmith earlier this week, Muse treated fans to new songs and “deep cut” rarities, as well as unveiling a live line-up that features Lancaster on additional synths, keys, percussion and guitar duties. Paul Weller has been announced as special guests for Madness‘ show at the Royal Albert Hall this month.The longstanding ska group had previously been announced to perform at the famous venue, one of a series of high-profile shows in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust this month.Now, Weller has been announced for an exclusive guest appearance which takes place on March 24. He will be joined by his band for a unique acoustic set.Madness’ gig is one of a number of shows taking place at the Albert Hall between March 21 and 27, with Don Broco, Yungblud, Liam Gallagher, The Who and Ed Sheeran also appearing.

The Teenage Cancer Trust has announced details of its 2022 season of shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the charity’s first run of fundraising concerts since 2019, after COVID-19 caused the cancellation of its 2020 and 2021 programmes. They will run from 21-27 Mar.On the line-up this year are Don Broco, Yungblud, Madness, Liam Gallagher and Ed Sheeran, plus there’s an acoustic show from the band who played the charity’s first ever Albert Hall fundraiser back in 2000, that being The Who.
