Steven Spielberg, Dee Wallace and more people associated with the beloved science fiction hit, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, appeared on the red carpet for a screening in honor of its 40th anniversary.

The Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Festival got off to a rousing start on Thursday night with Steven Spielberg reuniting with several stars of his 1982 classic E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial for a very special 40th Anniversary screening.The 75-year-old filmmaker reunited with stars such as Dee Wallace (Mary Taylor), K.C.

“The Drew Barrymore Show” on Monday, with the pair reminiscing about their time filming Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster classic back in 1982. “I knew you were going to be a director/producer back then,” Wallace told Barrymore, 47, after they emotionally embraced on stage. Barrymore was just 7 years old when she starred in “E.T.” — a film that catapulted her to international stardom.

Cinematographer Allen Daviau who shot three of Steven Spielberg's classic movies from the 1980s including E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial has died.The American Society of Cinematographers announced the news on Thursday, saying Daviau had passed away from complications of COVID-19.He was 77.
