Harry Potter creators over "teen audience appeal" in unearthed letters that came to light after his death.The award-winning actor played the role of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films, but in unearthed letters expressed his frustrations with how the seventh film had been directed.The legendary actor's true feelings were exposed in 2018 when a collection of letters were released after his death.It came as David Heyman, the director of the second Harry Potter film, told Rickman he understood his “frustrations” in a letter.The director told Rickman: “Thank you for making HP2 a success."I know, at times, you are frustrated but please know that you are an integral part of the films."And you are brilliant," he added.Another letter from 2009, written by Rickman himself, was titled: “Inside Snape’s Head.”In the letter, he once again spoke up about what irritated him about his character’s inner-workings during the filming of the seventh Harry Potter film which was directed by David Yates.Rickman wrote: “It’s as if David Yates has decided that this is not important in the scheme of things i.e. teen audience appeal.”The star also received a letter from Harry Potter author JK Rowling.Rowling thanked Rickman for "doing justice to my most complex character"."Rickman starred in all eight films and heartbreakingly died  of pancreatic cancer not long after the final film aired.However, it was revealed that the award-winning actor nearly left the franchise after a couple of movies.His decision, however, was overturned after a couple of choice words from author J.K.
