Netflix’s latest dating series, produced by Kinetic Content, dropped the first four episodes on Wednesday, May 24, introducing five new couples, made up of women and non-binary people, all in a crossroads in their relationship. In “The Ultimatum: Queer Love,” hosted by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, the couples have eight weeks to make a major life decision.

The North Road Company, the content studio founded by Peter Chernin, has  acquired an unspecified minority stake in Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. The deal includes a multi-year agreement for development, production, and sale of unscripted and scripted content. 

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Netflix is set to give its hit reality series “Love Is Blind” a German-language adaptation. The format makeover, currently in production, will bring together singletons in Germany, Austria and Swiss who have signed up for a less conventional approach to modern dating. Netflix is rolling off the success of “Too Hot To Handle: Germany.” As part of the format, 30 singles begin this 10-episode show by talking to potential partners without being distracted by the other person’s appearance. They then propose to their chosen partner and only then see their fiancé for the first time. Back in the real world, couples will try to complement their emotional bond with a physical one as they plan their wedding day together.

In ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love,’ five new couples, made up of women and nonbinary people, are at a crossroads in their relationship,” the official synopsis from Netflix reads. “One partner is ready for marriage, the other may have doubts. An ultimatum is issued. And in just over eight weeks, each couple will either get married, or get out, after they each choose new potential partners in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different futures.”

Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the group will also reveal who is still together today. Brandon Monk serves as showrunner and is executive producing along with Michael Davies. “Love Is Blind” is produced by Kinetic Content. The streamer announced that Season 4 will launch on Friday, March 24 with batches of new episodes dropping on weekly basis on Fridays. The new season consists of 12 episodes. Netflix dropped the first teaser to preview Season 4, though the cast has not been revealed yet. “Love Is Blind” follows singles who will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. The format sees contestants going on dates with each other by meeting in pods, speaking through walls and never meeting face-to-face, until they accept a marriage proposal in the pods. Then, over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their emotional bond developed in the pods. By the time their wedding day arrives, will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with, or will they break up at the altar?

Netflix is bringing together some of the most popular singles from their reality shows like The Circle, Too Hot To Handle, Love Is Blind for a new series. Perfect Match is described by the streamer as “the ultimate game of love.” Watch a preview of the show in the video posted above.

Emily Longeretta Netflix has renewed several of its popular unscripted love and dating shows, including “Love on the Spectrum” and “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.” Additionally, JoAnna Garcia Swisher will host the upcoming series, “The Ultimatum: Queer Love.” “Love on the Spectrum,” the docu-reality series following people on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of dating, will return for a new season following its three Emmy wins. Karina Holden and Cian O’Clery executive produce the Northern Pictures series. “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On,” which debuted in April 2022 and spent four weeks on the Top 10 list, will return for a second season with six new couples all on the verge of marriage. Per the official description, “One partner is ready to get married, the other isn’t quite as sure. An ultimatum is issued – and in just over eight weeks, they must commit to marriage, or move on. In the meantime, each will choose a new potential partner from one of the other couples, in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different possible futures.”

Once again, the experiment will follow singles looking for love — this time in Dallas — as they are hopeful to fall for The One without ever having seen them. The pairs who choose to get engaged then get to meet and love in the real world, and attempt to plan their weddings and decide if they will stay married. Chris Coelen, Ally Simpson, Eric Detwiler, Brent Gauches, Brian Smith and Heather Crowe executive produce. The first four episodes of Season 3 will be released on Oct. 19. Episodes 5-7 will debut Oct. 26, followed by episodes 8-10 on Nov. 9. The finale and the reunion will drop on Nov. 9.
