Paul O’Grady baffled as ITV's For the Love of Dogs is yanked off air in major shake-up
ITV show For the Love of Dogs was yanked off air last week. The final episode of the series, which sees Paul head to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to help a variety of precious pooches find their forever homes, was meant to air on Thursday (March 3).But in a move by channel bosses, the adorable pet programme was replaced by the FA Cup match which saw Everton battle it out against Boreham Wood. This is the ninth series of his iconic show, which began back in 2012 - and it’s fair to say presenter Paul wasn’t happy about the news. And he was left baffled by the new air date for the programme, which has seen it put back to Sunday March 13 - more than a week after it was supposed to hit TV screens.Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Paul shared an adorable snap of his pooch Nancy when he initially brought her home from Battersea. The tiny pup sat on her dad’s knee and looked balefully at the camera, as Paul explained in the caption: "Rescue is best. Here’s Nancy when I first brought her home from Battersea, she’s grown a bit since."There’s no For the Love of Dogs tonight, it’s been moved because of the football and for some strange reason it’s been moved to Sunday 13th March at 7pm."It’s the last ep in the series," he added. And though some of Paul’s celebrity pals couldn’t resist swooning at the adorable Nancy - with Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley commenting: "Oh my ovaries!" - others were less than impressed by the schedule shake-up.One fumed: "Bloody football, would rather watch you and the pooches anytime!""Football takes over everything," someone else said.As a third fan moaned: "Who watches football anyway? I’ll look forward to watching it Paul, it’s been another great series.

I need to stop.”With at least 97 per cent of her followers voting for her to continue, she chose to share a casual jumper and leggings combo on the next slide. Over her black leggings, she wore a navy blue pullover with white striped arms and a white collar. She captioned the post: “How cute is this jumper?
