Coleen Rooney tells court marriage to Wayne almost ended after drunk drive with party girl
Merseyside, attempting to recover from the trauma of the news, Laura started to speak to the press. She claimed in The Sun that she'd had contact with Coleen who'd "asked me to tell her what happened."She seemed unhappy with the fact that we had left a nightclub in a cab together to go to my car," she claimed. This week, Wayne's wife relived the incident as part of her libel trial.Coleen accused Rebekah's account of leaking stories about her to the press, and Rebekah has, in turn, sued her for libel. She claims she baited Rebekah's account by streaming Instagram Stories with false information in them that she made sure only Rebekah's account had access to, then stood by and watched as the supposedly intimate information became public. On the other hand, Rebekah insists that she never leaked private stories about Coleen to the media, and has argued that she only discussed her rival's Instagram account with her PR agent, Caroline Watt, "a handful of times".One of these occasions was when she pointed out to Caroline that one of the Rooney children had been photographed in a car without wearing a seatbelt.Caroline responded: "It's on her private Instagram so we can't do anything with it".Rebekah adamantly told the court that she "didn't know" what her agent might have meant by this comment, and has added that Coleen's stories could have been released by a hacker. However she did admit that she had intended to leak a story about footballer Danny Drinkwater's drink driving crash - but The Sun had already printed the story. She argues that Coleen's Instagram post publicly accusing her account of offering stories about her to the press had caused her "anxiety", "panic attacks" and fear that she was going to miscarry her baby. However

Rebekah Vardy gives courtroom a laugh after asking what Davy Jones means in Wagatha Christie trial
Rebekah Vardy admitted she didn’t know what ‘Davy Jones’ meant. The legal battle between Mrs Vardy, wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, and fellow WAG Coleen Rooney continued at the Royal Courts of Justice on Thursday. Mrs Vardy, 40, denies leaking stories to the media and is suing Mrs Rooney, 36, for libel, while Mrs Rooney – who is wife of former England footballer Wayne Rooney – is defending the claim on the basis her post was ‘substantially true’. As proceedings got underway earlier today, the court was reminded that Mrs Vardy’s agent Caroline Watt said during an earlier preliminary hearing that her phone had fallen into the North Sea. Mr Sherborne, barrister for Mrs Rooney, remarked: ‘We know that Miss Watt’s phone is now in Davy Jones’ Locker, don’t we, Mrs Vardy?’ Mrs Vardy appeared confused and replied: ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know who Davy Jones is.’ The courtroom burst into laughter as the judge explained to Mrs Vardy that it was an idiom referring to the resting place of sailors who drowned at the bottom of the sea. Youngsters today may be more familiar with the term from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which features a character named Davy Jones who is a tyrannical captain and dark lord of the Seven Seas. Mr Sherborne had read reported text messages between Mrs Vardy and Ms Watt, where the agent told the TV personality: ‘I would have tried to have done a story on Coleen but the evidence has been deleted.’ Ms Watt allegedly continued: ‘Halls is trying to do a story on Coleen crashing her car but her PR won’t even reply.

Rebekah Vardy’s agent ‘not fit to give oral evidence’, court told as preliminary hearing takes place in Wagatha Christie court case
Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy’s ‘Wagatha Christie’ case has taken place today, in which the court was told Vardy’s agent is ‘not fit to give oral evidence’.The pair have been engaged in a libel dispute since Rooney, 36, accused Vardy, 40, of leaking stories she had planted on social media, on an Instagram story viewable only by Vardy’s account in October 2019 after a ‘sting operation’ over several months. Rooney earned the nickname ‘Wagatha Christie’ for her detective skills, but Vardy has always denied that the leaked stories were down to her. A preliminary hearing took place on Wednesday at the High Court in London ahead of the start of the trial next month, which comes after Rooney previously lost a bid to add a claim against Vardy’s agent Caroline Watt to the libel case.Rooney’s lawyers had previously claimed that Vardy had leaked information to The Sun either directly or through Watt ‘acting on her instruction or with her knowing approval’.However, Hugh Tomlinson QC, for Vardy, told the court today that Watt could not give oral evidence. In written arguments, Mr Tomlinson said: ‘The claimant served a witness statement of Caroline Watt with the intention of calling Ms Watt to give oral evidence at the trial.‘The claimant’s solicitors were, however, aware that Ms Watt was in a fragile state and had been expressing serious concerns about giving evidence.’He added that a consultant forensic psychiatrist produced a report which concluded Watt is not fit to provide oral evidence at the High Court trial.‘In these circumstances, it is clear that Ms Watt cannot be called to give evidence,’ he concluded.Rooney’s barrister, David Sherborne argued in written statements: ‘The defendant has serious concerns about the lack of any

Rebekah Vardy denies ‘nasty b****’ text was about Coleen Rooney, court hears at Wagatha Christie hearing
Rebekah Vardy’s lawyers have argued that her text messages calling someone a ‘c***’ and ‘nasty b****’ were not about Coleen Rooney. The pair are preparing to head to court in May after Rooney accused Vardy of selling stories about her to the press in 2019, leading to the infamous saga to be dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’.During Tuesday’s hearing at the High Court, Rooney’s legal team argued text messages sent by Vardy referred to their client as a ‘nasty b***h’, to ‘suck a d**k’ and ‘declared war’. However, on Wednesday, Vardy’s lawyers denied these messages which were sent to her agent Caroline Watt were about Rooney, who she is suing for libel. Vardy’s barrister Hugh Tomlinson QC told the court: ‘This is not a passage about Mrs Rooney, it is a passage about someone else.’ Tomlinson previously told the court that the messages referred to by Rooney’s barrister David Sherborne, which were said to ‘reveal that Mrs Vardy and Ms Watt are responsible for the leaking’, were ‘selective’, and said parts of the exchanges which were left out had ‘precisely the opposite effect’. He added: ‘If one reads these messages in full, what one sees is that Mrs Vardy expresses shock at being accused and she is here communicating with the person that Mr Sherborne says is her co-conspirator.‘These are obviously candid personal messages, and if she was really concerned – “Oh, this is terrible, we have been found out” – then it would have been completely different.’Rooney, 35, is bringing a claim against Watt for misuse of private information and is asking for it to be joined to the libel case involving Vardy, 39. Sherborne told the court that Rooney will be left without ‘vindication’ if Vardy wins the case on the basis that she was not the person
