Ghostbusters II and Seinfeld actor Philip Baker Hall dies 'surrounded by loved ones'
Actor Philip Baker Hall has sadly passed away at the age of 90, surrounded by those he loved.The star's death was announced by Los Angeles Times NFL writer Sam Farmer, who said the star passed away peacefully on Sunday.Taking to Twitter, Sam wrote: "My neighbor, friend, and one of the wisest, most talented and kindest people I’ve ever met, Philip Baker Hall, died peacefully last night," Farmer shared on Twitter."He was surrounded by loved ones. The world has an empty space in it."The cause of death is not yet known, however the actor did suffer from emphysema, partly as a result of contracting pneumonia as a child.Due to his condition, Philip could only film a few minutes at a time towards the end of his career.As well as being known for his role as Lt Joe Bookman in 90s sitcom Seinfeld, the Hollywood legend also starred in a number of films.According to IMDb, Philip starred in 185 film and TV roles throughout the course of his career.Some of which include, Say Anything..., Secret Honor, Hard Eight, Duck, Boodie Night, Magnolia, Bruce Almighty, In Good Company, The Amityville Horror, and The Matador, among many others.Philip's Hard Eight co-star, John C Reilly spoke favourably about the star to The Washington Post in 2017.
