MAYA Jama is to replace Laura Whitmore as host of Love Island, The Sun can reveal. The popular presenter, 28, has agreed to take on the role and bosses are finalising her contract. She will appear in the winter version which is set to return to South Africa in January.

"There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
