The late singing icon Sinead O'Connor posed with quite the unlikely crew in a resurfaced snap from 2019 which includes Love Island stars, Lewis Capaldi and Irish comedian Aisling Bea. On Wednesday it was announced by her family that the singer had passed away aged just 56, which has led to an outpouring of grief across the world. Many stars have paid tribute to the icon, including Aisling who posted a photo she had with Sinead O'Connor backstage at the Late Late Show in 2019.

Yossman Comedian Harry Deansway is suing Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow over a comedy series called “Live at the Moth Club,” which he claims rips off his YouTube show “Shambles.” In his filing, Deansway, whose real name is Joshua Rinkoff, describes “Shambles” as a sitcom “centered around a live comedy night” at a run-down club struggling to make ends meet. The show blends fact and fiction by combining a sitcom set behind the scenes of the club with real comedy performances in front of a live audience. “Shambles,” which featured appearances from well-known comedians including Aisling Bea and Dan Schreiber, was released on YouTube in 2013 as a six-part series, followed by a second season in 2015.

Aisling Bea inspired Kodaline’s Mark Prendergast to go solo in new solo outing, Man Alive.Prendergast has now shared the debut single of his new solo project, ‘Be Someone’ that you can listen to below.According to a statement, his friend, actor Aisling Bea, proved to be “a pivotal influence for him to take Man Alive to the wider world.”A statement revealed that “he played her an early version of ‘Be Someone’ when they were in Los Angeles in 2021, and her belief in the project really pushed him to make it happen.” It also noted that she encouraged him to change the first provisional name he had for his solo project, ‘Blood Type’, telling him it was “shit and doesn’t match your music.” Eventually, he went with Man Alive.Speaking about his new single, Prendergast said: “‘Be Someone’ is about a long-distance relationship falling apart, and how when you’re with somebody, they make you feel like a certain type of person, but then when you end the relationship and you’re by yourself, you always become a completely different person.”A statement added that the break-up, followed by lockdown, inspired Prendergast to write, record and produce a catalogue of songs from his home studio.You can listen to the song here:Earlier this year, Kodaline announced a tour of Asia this autumn, where they will travel to Singapore, Philippines, Taipei, Bangkok and more.They will kick off the tour September 5 in Singapore and then play shows in Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Naman Ramachandran British actor Tobias Menzies, Emmy winner for Netflix’s “The Crown,” will next be seen in A24’s “You Hurt My Feelings,” directed by Nicole Holofcener. In the film, which bowed at Sundance earlier this year, Menzies plays Don, a psychologist whose long-standing happy marriage to author Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is upended when she overhears his honest reaction to her latest book. Menzies says that the initial brief provided by Holofcener was about a key aspect of his character – his insecurities about his looks and ageing. Going into the project, both Menzies and Holofcener, whose credits include comedy-drama films “Walking and Talking” (1996), “Friends with Money” (2006) and “Enough Said” (2013), were already keen to work with each other. The director cast the London-born star after watching “This Way Up,” the BAFTA-winning British television comedy in which he played straight man to stand-up comic Aisling Bea.

The train enthusiast is set to host a five-part digital series for Channel 4 called Trainspotting with Francis Bourgeois. In it, he will tour the United Kingdom to demystify the hobby of trainspotting, where he’ll also be joined by a celebrity who will no doubt get a detailed run down of the make, model and importance of the train they watch pass by.

Channel 4 has announced a new digital series about trainspotting that will be hosted by Francis Bourgeois.The five-part series, titled Trainspotting With Francis Bourgeois, will see the TikTok star being joined by various celebrities to take part in the pastime across five different locations across the UK.Bourgeois will be joined by a different celebrity in each episode, including comedian Aisling Bea, Eurovision’s Sam Ryder, AJ Tracey, footballer Jesse Lingard and former Love Island contestant Chloe Burrows.Speaking about the series, Bourgeois said: “Trainspotting With Francis Bourgeois has been an absolute whirlwind. When I started making videos about my hobby I never thought anything like this would happen.

When, with some encouragement from her sister-in-law, she decides to go ahead and marry him anyway, she has to overcome public opinion, the law of the land and even her own family’s objections. Bea is best known for “This Way Up,” “Living With Yourself” and “Doctor Who,” and will soon be headlining the much-anticipated film based on the songs of Take That, “Greatest Day.”

Naman Ramachandran Various Artists Limited (VAL), the Emmy and BAFTA winning production company behind “I May Destroy You,” “Sally4Ever” and “Dead Pixels” has appointed Channel 4 commissioning editor Jack Bayles as head of comedy. London-based VAL was founded in 2017 by “Peep Show” co-creator Sam Bain and “Succession” showrunner Jesse Armstrong, together with producers and ex-Channel 4 commissioners, Phil Clarke and Roberto Troni.Reporting into Clarke and based in London and Brighton, Bayles will join from August and will be responsible for overseeing VAL’s comedy slate as well as developing new projects.
