A person had been subjected to an 'assault and robbery' near the university, reports Edinburgh Live. The victim was rushed to hospital following the incident.
Pictures from the scene showed cops putting up a police cordon as enquiries were carried out.Another photo showed a cop van parked near where the incident took place.Police have confirmed they have now launched a full investigation.
