Former Manchester City captain Andy Morrison says Pep Guardiola should consider Fernandinho as the next club captain when David Silva leaves the club.
Silva took the armband when Vincent Kompany departed, but the popular Spaniard will end his time at the Etihad this summer leaving the captaincy vacant again.
Morrison, who captained City during their successive promotions from the third tier in 1999 and the Championship in 2000, says Guardiola doesn't necessarily need to appoint a natural leader, but a player who will lead by example.
Speaking to MEN Sport, Morrison said: "It's not just what you see on the pitch on a matchday, it's how players carry themselves, that humility.
