Manchester United have reportedly opened talks over a deal to sign teenage star Thiago Almada, who has been labelled the next Lionel Messi.
Almada, who currently plies his trade in his native Argentina with Velez Sarsfield, has caught the eye of a number of top European clubs after earning comparisons to his compatriot Messi.Manchester City are said to view him as a potential replacement for David Silva, who is due to leave the club at the end of the season, while Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are monitoring the 19-year-old.
However, according to a report from Spanish outlet Todo Fichajes, it is the Red Devils who are leading the race to sign Almada having already entered negotiations.
