Paul Gascoigne was pictured emerging from the sea in a pair of tiny swimming trunks while starring in Italy's reality show Island Of The Famous.

The 53-year-old former football star, who is currently appearing in the series, appeared to channel his best Daniel Craig moment as he emerged from the ocean in his swimming gear.

In the snaps, taken while scenes were filmed for the reality show, Paul showed off his large collection of tattoos as he fashioned a pair of red and blue swimming trunks.

He was later pictured walking alongside a sunny beachside before joining his swimsuit-clad Italian co-stars. The premise of the show features a host of celebrities, including Paul, who must survive by themselves on a tropical island.
