Parts of Corfu have been evacuated as disastrous wildfires have started on a second Greek island. Greece's Emergency Communications Service issued evacuation orders on Sunday evening (July 23) as the problems intensify.
A wildfire broke out in the northern part of the island on Sunday afternoon with people ordered to leave a number of areas with a danger to life warning sounded, reports the Mirror.
An SOS message sent to all in the area said: "If you are in Santa, Megoula, Porta, Palia Perithia & Sinies, evacuate now to Kasiopi.
