The Bolton native, who appeared on the programme to discuss Top Gear and his recent weight loss, left Alex Jones and Matt Baker in stitches when he accidentally kicked the table leg, knocking it onto the floor.
Trying to cover up his blunder, the TV host picked up the plastic before blaming his furniture escapades on "Brexit". Finding ways to appease the situation, the 46-year-old condemned the BBC for cutting corners and using sellotape in order to fix the broken bit of furniture. "What is that?" he exclaimed when the leg fell to the floor. "I blame Brexit… Is this what we’ve come to on the BBC?
