The owner of a gym raided by police this weekend said fitness enthusiasts were "manhandled" and "mauled" by officers. Police raided Prophecy Performance Centre in Speke, Merseyside, on Sunday, arresting three people and fining 52.
In CCTV footage shared on social media an officer is seen approaching a young man in the gym car park while others appear to flee, Liverpool Echo reported.
The officer appears to swing a baton in the direction of the man, although it is not clear from the footage if the stick makes contact.
In a second clip a man in handcuffs is seen surrounded by police. He falls to the ground after an officer appears to use force against him, before more officers swarm in around him and pin him down.
