Naman Ramachandran In a significant expansion of LGBTQ+ content in Asia, OUTtv is set to debut its first-ever channel in the region through a partnership with Taiwan‘s largest telecom provider, Chunghwa Telecom.

The expansion marks a strategic milestone for OUTtv, which bills itself as the world’s leading LGBTQ+ television and streaming service.

The move into Taiwan follows the company’s recent growth trajectory that included launches in New Zealand via Prime Video and the expansion of its rebranded SVOD service OUTflix into Nordic markets with Allente in 2024. “It’s been our goal for a long time to launch in Asia,” said Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv. “It’s evident that there has been huge demand for a service that creates and provides authentic and diverse storytelling, both for and by the LGBTQ+ community.” Subscribers to the new linear channel will gain access to OUTtv’s original programming including popular series like “For The Love of DILFs,” “Sew Fierce,” and “Call Me Mother,” alongside a library of documentaries, films, and specials.

The Taiwan launch comes through OUTtv’s strategic collaboration with Ulight Entertainment Technology, which is supporting the channel’s distribution plans across Asia.
