TELLY favourite Oti Mabuse will this weekend dance on screen for the first time since leaving Strictly — on a stage at an ice rink with legends Torvill and Dean.
Pro Oti, who announced this week she was leaving the BBC show, will perform a slot adapted from her new stage show. And ITV is stepping up too — constructing a special platform for Sunday’s Dancing On Ice.
Oti will dance on the stage above the centre of the rink while Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and the Dancing on Ice pros skate around it.
Oti, 31, told The Sun: “I’m so honoured that Jayne and Christopher have choreographed the talented pro skaters for this special performance. “It’s a dream come true to debut my I Am Here tour on Dancing On Ice this Sunday! “This tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life and it’s my way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey.” Oti lifted the Glitterball trophy twice during her seven years on Strictly, while Torvill and Dean won gold at the 1984 World Championships dancing to Ravel’s Bolero.
