Only one in 10 people want to return to the way they lived before the coronavirus pandemic, a new study has found. Researchers found 51% were likely to go back to a similar way of life, while 22% would change their routines - rising to 25% among people aged 30 to 59.
Just 10% wanted to go back to pre-lockdown life. The ongoing survey of 70,000 people by UCL, which has been running since March, found 40% would boost support for local shops and cafes, 35% would exercise more and 33% would do more shopping online.
A quarter of adults planned to work from home more, which increased to 29% for 18-29 year-olds and 32% for those aged between 30-59.
