Miley Cyrus’ ridiculously catchy new track, Midnight Sky? Well, look no further – apparently the bop came about after a ‘horrible and sweaty’ night out the singer had before lockdown (we’ve all been there).

Speaking to Australian radio show, Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa, the 27-year-old explained that she forced herself to go home after spotting her, erm, dishevelled appearance.Miley said the Midnight Sky’s lyrics ‘it’s been a long night and the mirror’s tellin’ me to go home’, were ‘inspired by one of the last nights she went out before the corona[virus] craziness and lockdown’.‘I went and performed at the Morrison hotel anniversary with The Doors,’ the Disney alum explained.‘I ended up going out that night, and I went to take a picture.
