Perthshire residents will be able to share their views at a public meeting over ScotRail’s proposed new timetable changes to be introduced next May.
Organised by Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Mark Ruskell, he will also be joined by representatives from ScotRail, rail trade unions and passenger groups at the online meeting on Wednesday, September 29.The move is part of the rail operator’s plans to cut 300 services to alleviate a £243 million annual deficit, with the Scottish Government soon to take control.The plans have been met with local criticism after it was announced a number of services would be cut, with the Perth to Edinburgh service to travel via Cowdenbeath - upping the journey time to one hour and 40 minutes.
